FAQ

Everything members ask most often. Search it, or read the lot.

Is this actually cash, or is it points dressed up as cash?

Store days, events and content pay real money, and a review purchase comes back at the product's own price. It arrives in a euro balance you can send to your own bank account or spend in the shop. Points are separate and buy product.

Do points expire?

No. The only exception is points a loan granted you, which end four months after the loan does, because the standing was for money that was at risk and the money has come back.

Can I do more than one of these?

Yes, and most people end up doing three. The question at signup only decides what we show you first. It signs you up for nothing.

What if I just want to read and not do anything?

That is fine. Sign up, turn everything off, and look around. Notifications are off by default, all of them, which is the opposite of the usual arrangement and entirely on purpose.

How hard is the top level really?

Hard, and we would rather do the arithmetic here than let you find it out later. Warlord is 5,000 points. On store days alone that is fifty of them, which is most weekends for a year. Filming twice each time takes it to fifteen days, and bringing people in can carry 1,400 of it on its own. In practice it is a mix over a year or two, and only a handful of people will ever hold it. Everything below Captain is within reach of one committed weekend a month.

Is lending safe?

There is always a risk. It is a loan to a private company rather than a deposit, it is not covered by any guarantee scheme, and repayment depends on our ability to repay. What sits against that is a fixed return agreed in writing, collateral stock held unsold in a warehouse against what you lent, and three years of this programme being repaid on time. Lend an amount you can comfortably leave in place for the full term.

How old do I have to be?

Fifteen to work a mission with us in a store or at an event. Eighteen to lend, with no exceptions. Reviews, content and the forum have no age gate beyond having an account.

Do I have to live near you?

Store days and events happen where we are running them, and you only ever see the ones in your own country. Reviews, content and the forum work from anywhere in the world, which is how most people outside France take part.

Who can join?

Anyone who wants to help. It is private, it is small, and everybody in it has put something in, which is the only reason it works.
